Filler quests are boring as it is, but even the combat quests become a chore when I only have 2 spells I need to use, the same spells that I've been using since Level 1 but in an "upgraded" form. WebPre-50 everything in FFXIV is essentially one big tutorial. So very very very little is that great or engaging. Post 50, things start to get more interesting and there's a few standout dungeons and bosses. By 60 things start coming into strive and most stuff us fun and engaging. So yes this MMO is un-MMO enough for someone who dislikes MMOs to enjoy it.
