Splet30. mar. 2024 · Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) was introduced in 1995 for solving non-linear functions [ 1 ]. It is simpler than other Evolutionary techniques as it requires only the specification of the problem and a few parameters to solve it. For this reason and to identify the untouched areas of research about PSO, this paper has been compiled. The earliest evidence of swarm behaviour in animals dates back about 480 million years. Fossils of the trilobite Ampyx priscus have been recently described as clustered in lines along the ocean floor. The animals were all mature adults, and were all facing the same direction as though they had formed a conga line or a peloton. It has been suggested they line up in this manner to migrate, much as spiny … There are parallels with the shoaling behaviour of fish, the swarming behaviour of insects, and herd behaviour of land animals. During the winter months, starlings are known for aggregating into huge flocks of hundreds to thousands of individuals, murmurations, which when they take flight altogether, render large displays of intriguing swirling patterns in the skies above observers. Flocking behaviour was simulated on a computer in 1987 by Craig Reynolds with his simulation p… mercury bodied chevrolet
